Vizma Life Sciences develops innovative devices that make metabolic MRI more affordable and more accessible for early disease detection and treatment monitoring. Unlike conventional MRI, which shows tissue structure, metabolic MRI reveals how tissues function at a molecular level, enabling earlier disease detection and timely insights into treatment response. Yet, the current process for preparing the required injectable contrast agents is expensive and complex. Vizma’s device streamlines the production of the same contrast agent, making it 98% more affordable and enabling more accessible metabolic imaging, which allows doctors to detect tumor response to therapy within days instead of months.

Vizma’s scalable breakthrough device leverages established clinical validation and positions Vizma to initially enhance an existing market of over 4 million annual cancer scans. Bolstered by over $1.3M in NIH SBIR grants, Vizma has achieved proof of concept animal imaging studies at 4 academic institutions.
