Yesterday, in coordination with our partners in the Alliance for Building Better Medicine, we hosted members of the U.S. Economic Development Administration (Linda Cruz-Carnall, Scott Andes, Lauren Stuhldreher), Senator Mark Warner, Secretary Caren Merrick, Mayor Levar Stoney, Mayor Parham, Delegate Mark Sickles, and other public and private sector officials to discuss and celebrate the Build Back Better Regional Challenge Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Cluster at the VA Bio+Tech Park.

The kick-off with EDA, tour of Medicines for All Institute, and roundtable highlighted the transformational nature of this award and we were thankful to be able to showcase the Richmond-Petersburg region and our incredible coalition including the newest member Walmart Stores. Thank you to our Alliance members and partners: AMPAC Fine Chemicals, Brightpoint Community College, CCAM - Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing, Chesterfield County, City of Petersburg, VA, City of Richmond Department of Economic Development, Civica Rx, Community College Workforce Alliance, Greater Richmond Partnership, GENEDGE, Medicines for All Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University, Phlow Corp., J Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Virginia's Gateway Region Economic Development Organization, and Virginia State University.

Our team was delighted to also celebrate the $15.8M win to expand the Bio+Tech Park with board members President Michael Rao, Vida Williams, Mooney Bob, Eric Edwards, MD, PhD.
