The Activation Capital team is saddened by the passing of Congressman Donald McEachin and we send our deepest condolences to his wife, Colette, and their three children. Congressman McEachin served honorably in both chambers of Virginia’s General Assembly and is the very definition of a public servant — a leader with integrity, grace, humility, and love for the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia. At Activation Capital, Congressman McEachin never wavered in his support of our efforts to build an inclusive innovation ecosystem and transform communities. And in recent years, he provided an enthusiastic voice that helped our region win the historic Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant by the EDA that will ensure access to affordable, lifesaving medications and provide high-quality jobs for generations to come. Those with the good fortune to know him, work alongside him, and learn from him can find comfort in knowing that Congressman McEachin’s spirit and his lasting work will remain with us as a guide for how to serve others and improve the community for all.
