A capacity crowd filled Bio+Tech Center as members of the life sciences community from across the Richmond-Petersburg region came together for the most recent Biotech & Beer event. A new Biotech & Beer attendance record was set with guests excited to network, share ideas, exchange news, and hear from guest speaker John F. Crowley, CEO of Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). He made stops in Richmond and Petersburg as part of the “BIO on the American Road” tour focused on improving the resiliency of American pharmaceutical supply chains and development.
“The future of the life sciences depends on the courage of those willing to take risks,” Crowley told the audience. “Only by taking chances and not being afraid to fail before we succeed will new cures for diseases be discovered and advances be made across the bio industry.”
