Activation Capital Member Tympanogen Plans to Bring First Commercial Product to Market

Tympanogen, a medical device company and member of Activation Capital, is working to go to market with a gel patch to repair perforated eardrums. The company is in the process of raising up to $5M in investor capital with a goal of rolling the product out in 2026.

Perf-Fix™ is a groundbreaking nonsurgical gel patch designed to repair eardrum perforations for patients efficiently and safely in a clinical setting—eliminating the need for traditional surgery.

“These are people whose only option was surgery or nothing. We are focused on moving common surgeries out of the operating room and into doctors’ offices,” said Elaine Horn-Ranney, Co-Founder and CEO of Tympanogen. “We are an 11-year-old start up. It took a lot of perseverance figuring out the manufacturing of this sensitive material and making it shelf stable.”
